My first contact with Land Mechanics was three years ago. Bryon completely made over my front yard; his crew was hard-working and talented. I was very impressed with Bryon's integrity, talent, his perfectionism and attention to details, whether in the landscape or in the details of the contract. I was so pleased with the outcome of the front yard that Land Mechanics is now doing the backyard. I have no doubts that I will love the backyard as much as the front yard. We received numerous compliments from our neighbors regarding the quality of the work completed and how courteous and polite the Land Mechanics crew was: every evening the front of the house was cleaned spotless. The wrought iron installer was amazed at how straight your block wall is - he didn't even have to use spacers to align the new gate! This is truly a testament to the quality of Land Mechanics' work. The soothing sounds of the water feature in a relaxing natural setting carries us miles away from our everyday world. We have a newfound appreciation for our backyard and use every excuse to dine, party, and relax there. Looking back on the last few months, we remember your excellent service and passionate expertise. Initially, you carefully listened to our ideas and incorporated them into a beautiful plan: water feature, barbeque and bar, patio and planters. You guided our materials selection so that all elements would harmonize. As worked progressed, you were flexible with changes and quick to correct any problems to our satisfaction. When we announced that we had to give our youngest daughter an engagement party you graciously facilitated the work to the point that the water feature and partially built bar were ready for our guests. You even sent Jose who worked several hours to relocate equipment and materials for the rental tables. The crew worked hard every day-- always efficient, knowledgeable and respectful. At a moment's notice anyone of the workers would lend Mike a hand if they saw an opportunity. The City of Cypress inspectors often remarked about the impressive quality of the work : "among the best they had seen in Cypress." While the quality of workmanship prevailed your personal integrity and work ethic superseded it all. Not only do the people you hire reflect your high standards of character but you personally "walk the talk". You promptly returned calls and kept us informed about the next steps of the project. Through it all, you were always easy to talk to with honest responses-you are a man of your word. Mike and I feel that we got to know you on a personal level as we shared similar life philosophies. We consider you to be a friend in addition to our contractor whom we could easily recommend. Thank you for improving our quality of life. Mike & Aileen It was immediately evident, as my wife and I started to talk to Bryon, that his attitudes and approach matched our own. We wanted things done right. He quickly responded with setting up a meeting with the designer, Patrick May. The result was a plan and budget that, with few revises, meet our needs. Within a month, we were into the project, which required extensive retainer walls, one at the back, another at the up-hill side and a lot of careful grading. The most important element to enhance was our view! Bryon expanded our up stairs deck across the full width of the home and created an outdoor living room below. An outdoor kitchen was a big part of our plan, together with a fountain in the side will and a "destination-point" out at the far comer of the property. Our "Canyon-to-Catalina" view, across Cowen Heights to Long Beach, is featured in every area of the garden and we enjoy it daily, even in the fog... The choice of materials, textures and colors blend into a calming, comfortable extension of the home, from "close up to infinity." Bryon and his crew were constantly "hands-on" regarding engineering and their attention to detail has resulted in a truly solid, well made, yet very graceful center for all our outdoor living and dining. (And partying!) We value our continuing relations with Bryon and have recommended him to friends and neighbors. Simply stated, Bryon exceeded all our expectations, every step of the way.
